Our goal is to obtain photos, memorabilia and memories about the following businesses in Shawnee in the 1920's and to talk with people who would like to share their memories of this time period:
  • Dr. Sullivan's Office/Home
  • Bouseman's Barber Shop
  • Yotz Typewriter Repair
  • Shawnee State Savings Bank
  • Tom Davis Dry Goods Store
  • W.H. Heaton Drug Store
  • Goddard's Electric Company
  • City Jail (at rear of Yotz')
  • Liestman’s Grocery and Meats
  • The Ice House
  • Fisher Chevrolet
  • Murphy’s Filling Station

We also welcome donations or information on any of the following items from 1910 to 1935:
  • Books
  • Clothing
  • Diaries
  • Farm Equipment
  • Household Items, including appliances
  • Jewelry
  • Letters
  • Newspaper Articles
  • Office Equipment
  • Photographs/Pictures
  • Title Abstracts
  • Shoes
  • Tools
  • Yearbooks
  • Or, anything tucked in your attic or basement
