What are your fees?
We charge by the hour, and the rates are dependent upon your residency. We offer Civic group rates and Commercial rates.
- Shawnee Residents, Sun-Thurs, $100/hr, Fri-Sat, $120/hr
- Non-Shawnee Residents, Sun-Thurs, $125/hr, Fri-Sat, $150/hr
What is your maximum occupancy?
- 240 people seated
- up to 30 round tables that each seat 8 guests
- 12 rectangle tables
How do you book the facility?
In order to rent the Hall you must come by in person to fill out a reservation request form and pay a deposit. We cannot hold dates over the phone. We book the facility Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Is there a deposit?
If your rental is more than 16 weeks out, you'll pay 50% of your rental fee up front. Therefore if you book the Town Hall for 12 hours, you will pay for 6 hours up front.
If your rental date is less than 16 weeks out, you'll need to pay the entire rental fee at the time of booking.
How early can you rent the facility?
We rent 18 months out to the month we are in. For example, we will start renting through all of September 2018, as of March 1 at 8:00 a.m.
How old do you have to be to book the facility?
You must be 21 to book the facility, if you are not 21, your parent or legal guardian should reserve the facility for you and assume all responsibility.
What are the dimensions of the room?
The room is 55 feet by 60 feet, with 11-1/2 foot ceilings.
What are the dimensions of the tables?
The rounds are 5 feet across or 60 inches, and the rectangles are 6 feet long.
Can we smoke in your building?
Town Hall and our grounds are non-smoking facilities; any smoking must be done outside the gates of Shawnee Town toward the parking areas.
Do you provide linens, or decorations?
We do not provide any of the supplies needed for your event, other than the tables and the chairs.
Are we allowed to decorate the facility?
Yes, only tabletop or freestanding decorations are allowed. Nothing can be taped, tacked, nailed, stapled, sticky-tacked or pinned to the walls, bar, pillars, windows, etc. You cannot hang decorations from the ceiling or chandeliers. No loose glitter or confetti.
Can we decorate the night before?
No, we book the facility daily, so it’s booked the night before your event. All decorating must take place during your scheduled rental times. You cannot start and stop a rental; therefore if you want in at 8:00 am to decorate, you must continue to rent until the end time of your rental.
Do you have a kitchen facility?
We have a kitchen that houses 3 refrigerators, 2 stoves with ovens, a microwave and an automatic ice machine. All of this is included in the hourly rate.
What kind of AV equipment do you offer?
- We have a Bose sound system inside the ceiling of Town Hall
- Sound box for connecting to computer/phone/tablet
- Five-disc CD changer
- Microphones
- LCD projector
- Screen
- Podium

What types of payment can you accept?
Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, Cash or Check.
Can we bring in our own alcohol?
We do not offer bartender services or alcohol. We have no restrictions on the bartender you use for the alcohol except that we do require that someone over the age of 21 serve the alcohol.
If you have more than 100 guests and serving alcohol, you must have an off-duty Shawnee police officer present during your rental.

Can we bring in our own catering?
Yes, we do not provide catering services, and we have no restrictions on the caterer you choose.
What are your rental hours?
- Monday-Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
- Friday and Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. (midnight)
- Sunday 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Can I pay extra to rent later than your normal rental hours?
No, our times are set by the Shawnee City Council; we do not rent beyond our regular rental times.
